Johnson will complete Reilly’s term Annapolis (July 14, 2009) - County Executive John R. Leopold today congratulated Board of Education member Tricia Johnson on her selection to the County Council, where she will serve out the remainder of State Senator Ed Reilly’s term representing District 7. "I commend the Council for the professional manner in which it conducted the appointment process," County Executive Leopold said. "I look forward to working with Tricia Johnson and the rest of the Council to solve the people’s problems during these difficult fiscal times." Johnson was appointed to the Board of Education in 2003 and again in 2008. She will serve the remainder of the term and has indicated she will run for the seat and a four-year term in office on the Council. Her predecessor Ed Reilly was recently appointed by Governor Martin O’Malley to the Maryland State Senate. |
