Department of Public Works Earns Another Wastewater Operations Award

County Wastewater Facilities Earn National Recognition

Annapolis, MD (June 12, 2008) - Five Anne Arundel County Water Reclamation Facilities (WRF) have earned Platinum Peak Performance Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). "This is an honor that we hold with great pride," said County Executive John R. Leopold. "We have outstanding staff that work hard everyday to meet and exceed the requirements for our permit. Anything short of their dedication would be harmful to the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries."
