County Executive Leopold Receives Program Dedication from Volunteer Firefighters
Annapolis (August 25, 2008) - The Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association honored County Executive John R. Leopold today by dedicating the program for their upcoming convention to the County Executive. The Volunteer Firefighters Association’s convention will be held on September 2, 2008 to September 6, 2008. It will be hosted by the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company. The Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association prides itself on the contributions of its members in providing quality fire, rescue, and EMS services to the citizens of Anne Arundel County.
"It’s an honor to have this year’s program’s dedication," County Executive Leopold said. "Our County firefighters do life-saving work everyday. The Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters are a critical part of the County’s first responder network. I wish them much success at their annual convention and appreciate the important work they do and the solid relationship my Administration has with all of our volunteer companies. It has been my priority to have a constructive working relationship between the career and volunteer firefighters."
Presenting the program from the Anne Arundel County volunteer Firefighters Association were President Craig Harman, 1st Vice President Bob Couchenour, and Trustee Wylie Donaldson.
