Celebration will include relay races, door prizes and music Annapolis (September 17, 2008)-County Executive John R. Leopold today invited all Anne Arundel County citizens to participate in the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Arundel Swim Center, which will feature events for the whole family. The celebration will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Swim Center, located at 2690 Riva Road in Annapolis. Admission is free for the day. "This is a great chance to celebrate two decades of recreation and fun," County Executive Leopold said. "I encourage everyone to join the festivities at this great Anne Arundel County facility." There will be an anniversary cake cutting and presentations, as well as a performance by the Annapolis High School Marching Band. The day will feature relay races, swim lessons, treasure hunts, water games, stroke evaluations, safety demonstrations, door prizes and raffles for day passes.
