Annapolis (May 16, 2008) - Motorists are advised that Rutland Road between Lavalle Drive and MD 450 is closed and will remain closed until further notice for ongoing repairs following damage sustained after periods of heavy rain and flooding. A significant portion of the northbound lane has been severely compromised and is not safe for travel. The Department of Public Works has initiated permanent repairs of the road and guardrail, however, the length of time needed to complete the repairs is weather dependent. A news release will be issued once the road repairs are completed and the road is safe for public travel.
