Annapolis, MD (January 30, 2007) - Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold announced that any resident who calls the County with a concern or problem, will be able to talk to a live human being, not a machine. "I am pleased to accomplish this goal which will more efficiently respond to the needs and concerns of County residents within existing resources," said County Executive Leopold. "We have an excellent Constituent Services Department, and we can now provide this essential service with no increase in cost." The County will use a system with a similar capability to a non-emergency response line, answering constituent problems and concerns. The Direct Constituent Service Line number is (410) 222-2222. This new service will save approximately $1,500,000 by avoiding the full purchase of a 311-system and its associated services. The Direct Constituent Services Line will be answered by representatives in the Community and Constituent Office Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. |
