County Executive John R. Leopold will join county Department of Aging and Disabilities Director Sheryl Banks to accept a $16,000 donation from What’s Up Annapolis for the Friends of Arundel Seniors on Monday, September 24 at 2:30 p.m. Each year What’s Up Annapolis magazine publishes the Seniors Resource Directory that contains area information on services to the aging population highlighting programs and initiatives of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities. The magazine sells advertisements to businesses, organizations, and individuals, and donates 50 percent of the proceeds to the Friends of Arundel Seniors organization, the aging and disabilities department’s 501(c)3 which uses the funds for programs.
