Annapolis, MD (April 18, 2007) - Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold announced today that all Military personnel and their families can visit any of the County’s four parks free of charge effective July 1, 2007. "As a longtime advocate for Veterans’ rights and concerns, I view this new initiative as one more way to honor military personnel and their families for their contributions to Anne Arundel County, the State of Maryland and the United States of America," said County Executive Leopold. "Their close proximity to the Naval Academy, Fort Meade and Washington D.C. makes our parks ideal places for military families to visit and enjoy." All active and retired military personnel and their families can visit any of the County’s four parks free by simply showing their military ID. The parks include: John H.
