Annapolis (July 23, 2007) - County Executive John R. Leopold announced today that electrical permits can now be applied for online further enhancing customer service for permit applicants. "Improving customer service in the Department of Inspections and Permits remains a top priority of my administration," said County Executive John R. Leopold. "The addition of this online service through our award winning website makes the permit application process more convenient to residents and businesses in the County." Electrical permits represents 29% of the total permits applied for this year. Currently, the Department of Inspections and Permits website allows for online permitting for mechanical and plumbing permits. Once a permit is approved, applicants may further use the website to request required inspections during construction. Next to come online will be perc applications which will be launched in advance of the wet season early next year.
