County Executive Leopold Offers Alternative Child Care Locations

Annapolis, MD (April 20, 2007) - Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold is offering families with children previously enrolled in the Daily Discoveries day care, an alternative child-care provider.

"These families in the Crofton area need to know that the County is offering immediate placement for the children who were displaced and need child care," said County Executive Leopold.

The County is offering before and after school child-care at the following locations for children in kindergarten through 5th grade:

  • Crofton Meadows Elementary School
  • Four Seasons Elementary School
  • Waugh Chapel Elementary School

Any child who attended Daily Discoveries can call the County’s School Age Child Care office, at
(410)222-7856 and placement will be expedited.

"I also encourage displaced employees of Daily Discoveries to call the number if they are seeking employment," said County Executive Leopold. "We are sensitive to the issues of these families and will work with them one-on-one to ensure we accommodate their needs."
