A Portion of Clark Road in Hanover to be Permanently Closed

Hanover (October 1, 2007)-The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works has approved a road abandonment petition from Elm Street Development that will result in the permanent closing of a portion of Clark Road in Hanover, Maryland.

The Board of Education and all public safety departments have been notified of the road closing as well as local community representatives and associations.

Elm Street Development’s request is in accordance with the Severn Small Area Plan. In an effort to create a stable transition area from intense commercial development, Elm Street is building a 538 residential unit community named Stoney Run Village. Watts Road will be improved to accommodate local traffic that previously used the portion of Clark Road that is being closed.

For more information on the project, please contact Mr. Jim Krapf, Project Manager, Elm Street Development at 410-266-9700
