Annapolis (September 28, 2007) - County Executive John R. Leopold announced today that Anne Arundel County Office of Planning and Zoning and Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services agreed this afternoon to continue operating the South County Connection or C-50 Bus Route. The C-50 bus service was supposed to end at 7:00 p.m. today, but will not have any service interruptions and will continue to operate under its normal schedule until June 30, 2008. " I am pleased that we have found the means to continue this important transit service for South County residents and forestall the interruption of a transit option utilized by our citizens, " said County Executive Leopold. On Monday, October 1, 2007, The Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services will begin operating the C-50 bus line. The bus will run on the same schedule as it is currently, and the fare to ride is $3.00. Riders of the C-50 can continue to catch the bus at the same bus stops that they currently use.
