Annapolis, MD (December 8, 2006) - Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold announced the appointment of Dave Abrams as Public Information Officer. In the position, Mr. Abrams will serve a variety of duties including communications with the press and broadcast media with respect to the administration’s policies and issues that affect the citizens of Anne Arundel County. "With his extensive media experience, I am confident that Dave will be an asset to my Administration in a variety of ways, including assisting department heads with communication responsibilities," said County Executive Leopold. Most recently Mr. Abrams was the Political Reporter for the Capital Newspaper, covering both County and State politics. After earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in English Literature at the University of Maryland-College Park, he completed his Masters in Journalism, also from the University of Maryland-College Park. Dave Abrams will begin work on January 2, 2007 at a salary of $60,000. |
