Annapolis, MD (September 14, 2006)-County Executive Janet S. Owens announced that Anne Arundel County will be represented at the State "Maryland You are beautiful Ceremony" by Leo Zerhusen. Mr. Zerhusen was this years recipient of the "Most Outstanding Volunteer in Anne Arundel County", which was announced Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Mr. Zerhusen was honored for more than 15 years of volunteering with churches, schools and non-profits, before founding H.O.P.E., Inc. in 2004. The organization helps families, children and the homeless lacking basic needs in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and beyond. The Volunteer Program honored the County's most outstanding participants with an award reception, and an executive citation. In all there were 22 nominees, sent in from private citizens, business and government employees.
