Executive Appoints South County Resident to Agriculture Preservation Advisory Board
Annapolis (May 15 2006) - County Executive Janet S. Owens recently appointed Christopher Wilson to the Anne Arundel County Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board. Wilson, of Harwood, will serve a five-year term that expires May 31, 2007.
Wilson owns and operates "Obligation Farm," a horse boarding, training operation and compost business. He currently serves on the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation Board of Trustees and is a member of the County Soil Conservation District Board of Supervisors.
The Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board advises the County Council and the County Executive on the establishment of agricultural districts and the purchases of easements. The Board also promotes agricultural preservation by providing information and assistance when requested.
