Anne Arundel Center Undergoes Masonry Restoration

Annapolis, MD (November 3, 2006) - Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens is reminding citizens the Arundel Center is open for business, despite all the work being done on the facade. Masonry restoration is underway to maintain upkeep on the aging building. The masonry work includes: brick replacement, mortar re-pointing, repairs and installation of masonry wall expansion joints, along with replacing brick pavers.

Annapolis, MD (November 3, 2006) - Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens is reminding citizens the Arundel Center is open for business, despite all the work being done on the facade. Masonry restoration is underway to maintain upkeep on the aging building. The masonry work includes: brick replacement, mortar re-pointing, repairs and installation of masonry wall expansion joints, along with replacing brick pavers.

Portions of the building will also undergo clear sealer application, hot rubberized asphalt waterproofing installation, cooling tower roofing system replacement and flexible sealant replacement.

Completion of the project is dependent on the weather, but it should be concluded in early spring. The total cost of the masonry rehabilitation project is $229,700 dollars.
