Vaccinations are free; however, a $20 donation is appreciated. Medicare Part B cards may be used to cover the $20 donation. The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advise that December is not too late to get the vaccine for anyone who wants to prevent the flu.

In October and November 2005, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health provided vaccines for more than 14,600 county residents. The Flu Information Phone Line and flu Health Department Web page  were popular with county residents. Approximately 500 calls were received on the phone line, and the flu Web page received more than 4,000 visits this fall.

For up-to-date flu prevention and clinic information, visit the Health Department website or call the Flu Information Phone Line (410) 222-7343.
