Baltimore Business Journal Top Ten Includes Eight County Companies Annapolis (December 22, 2005) - Led by the National Security Agency, Anne Arundel County companies make up eight of the top 10 largest projected job creators in the Baltimore area, according to the 2006 Baltimore Business Journal Book of Lists. The Business Journal list ranked companies by the number of jobs created in 2004. “I am extremely proud of these Anne Arundel County companies,” Ms. Owens said. “Their growth and the jobs created indicate that companies believe in Anne Arundel County as a great place to do business and raise families. This independent job creation list shows us that our hard work fostering a business-friendly environment is paying big dividends.” The National Security Agency, Northrop Grumman Corporation, Computer Sciences Corporation, Titan Corporation, Hilton Hotel BWI Airport and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Incorporated were listed as the top six job creators. Booz Allen Hamilton was ranked eighth and Cardinal Health tied for ninth. The Baltimore Business Journal List of projected job creation in the Baltimore area was compiled by city and county economic development departments.
