Department of Recreation and Parks to receive first Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

Annapolis, MD (August 30, 2005)-  Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens today announced that Kinder  Farm Park will be the recipient of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). While the county has pledged its commitment to making them available in a number of the county buildings, this is the first to be presented to the Department of Recreation and Parks. The new Automatic External Defibrillator has already saved 3 lives this year in Anne Arundel County. The AED is financed through the Cliff R Roop Cardiac Support and Education Foundation.

The dedication of the AED will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Kinder Farm Park September 1, 2005.
