Annapolis (November 8, 2004) - Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens presented Teen Activity Grant Awards to several organizations at a ceremony, last week, at the Arundel Center in Annapolis. The Department of Recreation and Parks awarded $20,000 in Grants to 15 organizations throughout the County. The purpose of this grant money is to provide group activities for Anne Arundel County teenagers in a healthy, drug and alcohol-free atmosphere, while involving the community organizations in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the activities.
