New Military Rates Effective First Of The Year Annapolis (December 16, 2004) - Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens announced today discounted fees for military personnel at County-owned parks. Beginning January 1, 2005, anyone in uniform or presenting military identification at park entrances will receive 50% off the admission fee. “With so many military families calling Anne Arundel County home and sacrificing everyday, this just seemed right,” Ms. Owens said. “This is a small token of our appreciation.” “Discounted admission to our parks is one way we found to say thank you to our military and their families,” said County Recreation and Parks Director Dennis Callahan.” Military personnel will receive discounted admission at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Downs Park in Pasadena and Mayo Beach in Edgewater. |
