Executive Makes Appointments and Reappointments To The Glen Burnie Town Center Advisory Committee

Annapolis (June 23, 2004) - Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens recently made several reappointments to the Glen Burnie Town Center Advisory Committee.  Ms. Owens also made one new appointment to the group. 

"These wonderful citizens voluntarily give of their time for the betterment of Glen Burnie," said the County Executive.  "On behalf of the citizens of Glen Burnie and Anne Arundel County, I thank them for their contributions of time and talent to this important committee."

Ms. Owens appointed Mr. Michael G. Livingston to his first term that expires November 30, 2006.  Mr. Livingston is the Chief Operating Officer of the Bank of Glen Burnie.

The reappointments are as followed:

Ms. Essie Dogbe, The Bagel Place
Mr. Dan Boyd, Boyd and Dowgiallo
Ms. Katherine DeGrange, Glen Burnie Improvement Association
Mr. Henry Hein, Director Emeritus, County National Bank
Ms. Rose Brooks, County Council District 2 Legislative Aide
Mr. Hye Yang, Q's Restaurant and Banquet Hall
Mr. Michael Phennicie, PCS Consulting
Ms. Barbara Moeller, President, Glen Burnie Improvement Association
Dr. Andrew Meyer, Anne Arundel Community College
Mr. Ron McGuirk, Sr. Economic Advisor to County Executive and former Councilman
Mr. Alfred Lipin, Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber and former State Senator
Ms. Marge Huggins, Resident
Ms. Janet King, Resident
Mr. Gene Floyd, Town Center Property Owner

The Glen Burnie Town Center Advisory Committee serves as an architectural review committee; reviews applications and plans for building permits and zoning certificates of use in commercial revitalization areas for compliance with the Glen Burnie Urban Renewal Plan.  The Committee also makes recommendations to the Urban Renewal Administrator.
