County Executive Presents Donation Check to Anne Arundel Medical Center

'

Anne Arundel County Government made a $2 million pledge to Anne Arundel Medical Center  seven years ago to go toward the building of the new hospital.  This year's payment of $250,000 completed the pledge.  Ms. Owens presented the ceremonial check to the hospital's board on Tuesday, October 5, 2004.

According to the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation, the funds have been used to help build the new hospital and to expand services to area residents.  Last year, the Emergency Department alone saw 64,000 patients and some 22,000 patients received inpatient care.
