No Curbside Collection on Thursday Annapolis (November 20, 2003) - The Department of Public Works, Waste Management Services, will close the Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility, the Glen Burnie Convenience Center and Sudley Convenience Center on both Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2003 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Administrative offices will also be closed. Additionally, no curbside collection of trash, recycling and yard waste will be provided on Thursday, November 27, 2003. Thursday customers may put out twice their normal trash on the next scheduled trash collection day, which is Monday. Recyclers should hold yard waste and recycling until their next regular collection day or take recyclables to any of the following facilities: - Millersville Convenience Center, 389 Burns Crossing Road, Severn. Open daily from 8am - 4pm. Closed Sundays in December, January and February.
- Glen Burnie Convenience Center, 100 Dover Road. Open daily from 8am to 4pm. Closed Sundays in December, January and February.
- Sudley Convenience Center, 5400 Nutwell-Sudley Road, Deale. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 8am to 5pm.
Curbside collections will resume as usual on Friday, November 28, 2003. The Department will reopen its trash and recycling facilities on Saturday, November 29, 2003 and administrative offices will resume normal operations on December 1, 2003. |
