Be Ready, Make a Plan, Make a Kit and Be Informed!

Annapolis (November 17, 2003) - Emergency preparedness information and training is now available to Anne Arundel County communities through the County Office of Emergency Management.

The Office of Emergency Management and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program co-sponsor a group of enthusiastic volunteers who provide Community Emergency Preparedness to citizens of the County.  Programs and presentations can be customized to meet the needs of any particular group or organization.

"Winter Storm Awareness Week will occur in early December and would be an excellent opportunity for organizations or community groups to prepare," said Anne Arundel County Executive Janet S. Owens.

Organizations interested in additional information or scheduling a presentation should contact Barbara Fay, Office of Emergency Management Coordinator of Community Awareness & Education at 410-222-8040.
