Federal and State Officials Available To Help Individuals and Businesses Annapolis (September 24, 2003) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a Disaster Recovery Center at the Arundel Center in Annapolis to aid citizens in their recovery from storm damage related to Hurricane Isabel. Federal and State Emergency Management officials are represented to assist people on the wide-range of programs and aid available through their agencies. Some of the programs and aid include housing assistance, low-interest loans for individuals and businesses, disaster unemployment assistance, crisis counseling, free legal counseling and veteran’s benefits. Citizens must call the FEMA assistance telephone line at 1-800-621-3362 to register prior to coming to the Disaster Recovery Center. |
