On-line viewing and Paying of Bills - General Information

Anne Arundel County has partnered with Official Payments Corporation (OPC) to facilitate viewing and automated payments online for:

  • Real Property (Real Estate) Taxes
  • Personal Property Taxes
  • Water/Wastewater Bills
  • Front Foot/CFA
  • Installment Agreements

OPC assesses a convenience fee each time the service is used to pay a bill. (Schedule of OPay fees). Anne Arundel County receives no money from this convenience fee.

Questions regarding real estate property tax, personal property tax, Front Foot Assessment, and Water and Sewer bills can be directed to a customer service representatives by calling (410) 222-1144 during normal hours of operation. You may also speak with a customer service representative in person at our 44 Calvert Street location or e-mail us at custserv@aacounty.org.

NOTE: The On-line viewing and paying of bills (MOL) is unavailable due to system maintenance from 11 p.m. - 4 a.m. every day except Saturday when it is down from 8 p.m. - 4 a.m. A warning is displayed on the system one-half hour before it will be down.

Viewing/Paying Bills

The following screen is displayed when the site is accessed. Select the category of bills you wish to view/make payment on. Water/Wastewater Bills, Front Foot/CFA,  and Installment Agreements are all considered Utility Bills.

To Look Up a Real Estate Tax Bill

Click on the Real Estate Taxes option.  The “Account Inquiry” search screen appears.

Enter one of the following:

  • Property Address: Street Number and Street Name (do not type the type - i.e. RD, AVE, etc.)
  • Owner’s Name: Last Name, First Name MI
  • Parcel ID:  12 digit Parcel ID of the property

Click on the Submit Request button. The “Parcel Detail Information” screen appears.

Please be patient. There are a large number of records that must be searched to process your request.

Note: If the “Selected Parcels” screen appears, more than one account met your search criteria.

If the parcel you want to look at is listed on this screen, click on the Parcel ID in the left column to select it.

If the parcel you want to look at is not listed on this screen, move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the  menu that appears, click on the New Search option and type more specific information.

Click on the “View/Pay Bill” button at the bottom to view “Real Estate Bill Information”.

Click on Payments/Credits to view the “Billing History” for this bill.

To return to the “Real Estate Bill Information” screen, move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the Bill Info option.

To Look Up a Personal Property Tax Bill

Click on the Personal Property option.  The “Account Inquiry” search screen appears.

Enter one of the following:

  • Owner’s Name: Last Name, First Name MI
  • Property Code: Property Code of the account (If the account number has only 7 digits, type a 0 (zero) after the first letter).

Please be patient. There are a large number of records that must be searched to process your request.

Click on the box to the left of the Include Prior Years and Include Paid Bills option to select these.

Click on the Submit Request button. The “Personal Property Detail Information” screen appears.

Note: If the “Selected Personal Property” screen appears, more than one account met your search criteria.

If the account you want to look at is listed on this screen, click on the Property Code in the left column to select it.

If the account you want to look at is not listed on this screen, move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the New Search option and type more specific information.

Click on the “View/Pay Bill” button at the bottom to view “Personal Property Bill Information”.

Click on Payments/Credits to view the “Billing History” for this bill.

To return to the “Personal Property Bill Information” screen, move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the Bill Info option. 

To Look Up a Utility Bill

Click on the Utility Bills option.  The “Account Inquiry” search screen appears.

Enter one of the following:

  • Account Number: 15 digit account number for water/wastewater or 12 digit account number for front foot and installments
  • Name:   Last Name, First Name MI
  • Street Address: Street Number, Street Name (do not type the type - i.e. RD, AVE, etc.), and Apt.
  • Parcel ID:  12 digit Parcel ID of the property

Click on the Submit Request button.  The “Utility Account Detail Information” screen appears with a listing of the accounts (front foot - 12 digit and water/wastewater - 15 digit)

Please be patient. There are a large number of records that must be searched to process your request.

Note: If the “Selected Accounts” screen appears, more than one account met your search criteria.

If the account you want to look at is listed on this screen, click on the Account in the left column to select it.

If the account you want to look at is not listed on this screen, move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the New Search option and type more specific information.

Click on the “View/Pay Bill” button at the bottom to view “Utility Bill Information” and a listing of the bills for the past 3 years.

Click on a specific Bill Number in the left column to view the “Utility Account Bill Detail” screen.

Click on Payments/Credits to view the “Billing History” for this bill.

To return to the “Utility Bill Information” screen, move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the Bill Info option.

To Pay A Bill Using a Credit Card

From the “Bill Information” screen, click on the Pay Bill or Pay Outstanding Bill(s) button. The “Summary of Bills to be Paid” screen appears.

The current amount due will appear automatically in the “Amount to Pay” column.

Note:  If there is a $0 balance or credit on the bill, the Pay Bill button will not appear

If you are paying a different amount than the amount due, type the amount in the “Amount to Pay” column.

Click on the Continue button.  The “Make a Payment” screen appears.

Read the payment service terms and click on the Accept button to continue.

Complete the following fields:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Street Address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code
  • Daytime Telephone Number
  • Credit Card Type
  • Credit Card Number
  • Expiration Date (mm/yy)

Click on the Continue button. A “Verification” screen appears.

Note: If any of the required fields were not completed, the prior screen will re-display with those required fields bolded.

Click on the Submit button to accept. A “Confirmation” screen appears and a new window opens. The “Payment Confirmation” screen appears.

Click on the Printer icon at the top of the screen to print a copy of the confirmation for your records.

Move your mouse to the Options button at the top of the screen. In the menu that appears, click on the New Search option.

Property Information is available for locating information about tax sale properties through the use of views, or on-line reports, which list the properties sorted and grouped according to specific pieces of property information.
