Juvenile Fire Setter Intervention Program Do you know a child who is preoccupied with fire? Have they been observed playing with matches or lighters? The dangers and consequences of these actions are discussed during sessions lasting a total of four to six hours. Counseling contacts can be provided if they are needed. Free Smoke Alarms Criteria and information on how to obtain the smoke alarms is provided by the Public Education Office at (410) 222-8303. Recipients will be asked to sign a waiver form by the installers. Fire and Falls Prevention for Seniors Visits are made to senior centers, seniors' condominiums, AARP and other groups that may benefit from an informative review of "fall hazards" and fire prevention suggestions. S.A.F.E. (Safety and Fire Education) S.A.F.E. was designed as a progressive fire prevention program for elementary school students. "Friendly Firefighter" visits to kindergartens, linked with "Fire Safety House" visits to second graders, and "Hazard House" visits to third graders complete an education that will provide a lifetime of proper choices related to fire prevention. A Request a Firefighter Visit (SAFE Program) form will initiate the program for your school.
