The Office of Fire Safety and Injury Prevention of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department wishes to express appreciation for your support of the "Safety and Fire Education (S.A.F.E.) Program". Each year since this program started in January 2002 teachers from classrooms across the county have invited firefighters to deliver our program to elementary students.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is proud of the level of participation and success of the S.A.F.E. Program. In the 2007/2008 school year our professionals delivered 461 presentations to over 18,000 students in 76 of the 79 public elementary schools in the County. Several thousand more private and preschool students received a S.A.F.E. Program presentation.
S.A.F.E. Presentations
Our safety and fire education curriculum was developed to deliver age appropriate educational presentations to elementary students from kindergarten through fifth grade. The theme of each presentation should enhance a lesson plan familiar to students of each grade level.
