Firefighters from the local fire station can be scheduled throughout the school year to visit Pre-K and Kindergarten classes. The objective of this visit is to reinforce the importance of viewing firefighters as a "friendly community helper", even though their protective gear may make them appear unfriendly.

Several classes can be brought together to maximize the thirty minute presentation. Weather and time permitting, the class can meet the firefighters outside to explore the fire engine in groups.

IMPORTANT – The crews assigned to these presentations are always available to respond to emergencies. They will do their best to be at the scheduled appointment on time but may have to leave suddenly if dispatched to an emergency in your community.
