Recyclables

Recyclables are collected once a week, Monday through Saturday, by private haulers under contract to Anne Arundel County on one of your regular trash collection days.  Recyclables will either be collected before or after your trash is collected. Special trucks, marked with an official recycling logo and the name of the private hauler will come by to collect your recyclables. Sometimes, separate trucks pick up different types of recyclables. No one other than the contract hauler should remove recyclables from your container. Please see Trouble-Free Recycling Tips for items that are accepted in the curbside recycling program and how to prepare them. Including only items that are acceptable and properly preparing those items increases the value of the material to recycling markets. Loads containing items not in our program can be considered "contamination" and may be rejected by the buyer and make it more difficult for the County to find markets.
