Potholes, Road Resurfacing and Snow Removal

The Bureau of Highways is responsible for repairing potholes, resurfacing streets, and removing snow from all County-maintained roadways.

Pothole Repair - Repair of potholes and sunken trenches is accomplished by our road districts using a variety of techniques, such as emergency patching, permanent patching, and skim patching.

Road Resurfacing and Reconstruction - Road paving is prioritized based on numerous criteria such as potholes, cracks, rutting, raveling, ride quality, traffic volume, and poor drainage.  Severity and the extent of the problem are also taken into consideration.

Snow Removal - Snow removal operations are performed on all County-maintained roadways.

To request any of these services, please contact the appropriate road district. The road districts are open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For after hours emergencies, please call (410) 222-6120 for all road districts.
