This capital project is one of seven active ENR upgrade projects designed to comply with the State’s Bay Restoration Program pollutant load limits.
The wastewater treatment process will be upgraded to state-of-the-art standard known as Enhanced Nurtrient Removal (ENR). When complete, nitrogen concentrate levels will be reduced from 8mg/L to 3 mg/L and phosphorus from 2 m/L to 0.3 mg/L.
