Serves as an advocate and advisor for improving minority relations throughout county government. This includes minority business, minority hiring and recruitment, programs, housing and all initiatives that impact the overall livelihood of minority residents in Anne Arundel County. Anne Arundel County celebrates diversity by establishing policies and procedures that promotes equal opportunity for all.

Our mission is to strengthen and enhance the population of underprivileged, under served, underrepresented, disabled, and impoverished by increasing opportunities and awareness through education and collaborative private/public partnerships. Minority Affairs coordinates and promotes government programs that support Minority Relations and serves as a foundation and impetus for encouraging inclusionary best practices that directly and indirectly impact minorities.
