CATHLEEN M. VITALE, Councilwoman, Fifth District, served as Chairman of the Council 2002 - 2003. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Government and Politics and received her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. She is a Senior Member of the law firm of Henault & Sysko, Chartered in Glen Burnie, Maryland with a general civil litigation practice. In addition to private practice, she is a private mediator in the areas of domestic and civil disputes. Her community and civic service include: Vice President of the St. John’s Catholic School Board; Vice President of the Whitehurst Community Association; Severna Park Chamber of Commerce; Anne Arundel County and Maryland State Bar Associations; and the Severn River Commission. She is the past chairman of the Anne Arundel Republican Party and served an elected term from 1994 until 2000 when she joined the Council. She was named to the National Register’s “Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals” for 2001. She lives in Severna Park with her husband and son. |
