Discover the abundant wildlife in the Patuxent River wetlands. We'll paddle up the smaller branches of the river to look for beavers, birds, and flowering wetland plants. Please arrive promptly at the starting time. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a lunch, and shoes that can get wet. Children must be at least 7 years old and accompanied by an adult.

To reserve a space, mail your payment of $10 per person (including FOJB) in advance to the Sanctuary. Please include your name(s), daytime phone number, the number of people in your party and the ages of children as well as a first and second choice of dates. Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary is open to the public 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Glendening Preserve is open to the public 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. every day for hiking. Entrance Fees: Adults: $5, Children under 18: $3, Families: $10, Over 60: $3 and FOJB family membership (providing free admission): $25.
