Deadline Extended for the Dallas G. Pace Sr. Humanitarian Award
Pace was the first Human Relations Commission Chairman for Anne Arundel County
Annapolis, Md. (August 30, 2013) – The deadline to receive nominations for the 2013 Dallas G. Pace Humanitarian Award has been extended to September 10. Mr. Pace, who died in 1974, was the first Human Relations Commission Chairman for Anne Arundel County. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Human Relations Commission, he was also a member of the board of directors for the Anne Arundel County chapter of the American Red Cross, the Annapolis NAACP and the Anne Arundel County Parent Teacher Association.
“Dallas Pace left an important legacy in Anne Arundel County,” said County Executive Neuman. “This award, in his honor, pays tribute to citizens who give back to their communities in the same spirit as Mr. Pace, himself, dedicated his life’s work.”
To be eligible for the award, you must be a resident of Anne Arundel County the entire calendar year of 2013. The winner of the Dallas G. Pace Humanitarian Award will be announced during the 33rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., breakfast in January 2014.
