Spend the first afternoon of summer with Master Naturalist Mike Quinlan learning about the diversity of cold blooded animals that call the Sanctuary home. We’ll visit a variety of habitats to locate and identify as many reptile and amphibian species as we can. Binoculars and cameras recommended. Wear shoes that can get wet and muddy and carry water. For ages 10 and up.
Fee: $4 per person or $10 per family
Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary is located at 1361 Wrighton Road, Lothian, Maryland 20711. The sanctuary is open to the public 9:00am – 5:00pm Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Park admission fee: $6.00 per vehicle. Glendening Preserve is open to the public 9:00am – 5:00pm every day for hiking.
