In this workshop volunteers learn how to lead canoe and kayak trips at Jug Bay. On land, we will first review volunteer responsibilities, canoe safety and paddling techniques, canoe routes, and an overview of Sanctuary policies. We will then launch canoes and learn about canoe rescue, followed by a trip up river and through marsh channels to see the varied habitats and life of the spring wetlands. Dress for the weather and bring a snack. Call 410-741-9330 to register. For adults and older teens with paddling experience.
Registration is required. To register, call 410-741-9330 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit www.jugbay.org for information, directions and updates to our schedule.
