For a seeing-eye dog trained to assist the blind or visually handicapped, a hearing dog trained to assist the deaf, a special assistance service dog or a dog trained and registered in the K-9 corps: $0.00 5. For each unspayed or unneutered dog or cat in a licensed kennel: $10.00
6. For each spayed or neutered dog or cat in a licensed kennel: $4.00 7. For each unspayed or unneutered dog or cat in a licensed kennel owned by a senior citizen (60 years or older) or who is receiving disability benefits as a result of a finding of total disability under the Social Security Act or the Railroad Retirement Act or by the United States Civil Service Commission or the Veteran’s Administration: $4.00 8. For each spayed or neutered dog or cat in a licensed kennel owned by a senior citizen (60 years or older) or who is receiving disability benefits as a result of a finding of total disability under the Social Security Act or the Railroad Retirement Act or by the United States Civil Service Commission or the Veteran’s Administration: $2.00 9. For each Potentially Dangerous Order: $100.00 10. For each Dangerous Order: $250.00 The 3 year fee for an animal license is: Note: 3 year animal licenses are not available for animals in a commercial kennel, animals belonging to individuals with a cat/dog fancier license, animals with Potentially Dangerous Orders, and animals with Dangerous Orders. To be issued a 3 year license the animal must have a 3 year rabies vaccination with an expiration year in the same year the license would expire. 1. For an owner who is at least 60 years old (Senior) or is receiving disability benefits (disabled) as a result of a finding of permanent and total disability under the Social Security Act or the Railroad Retirement Act or by the United States Civil Service Commission or the Veterans Administration: (i) for each dog or cat NOT spayed or neutered: $20.00 (ii) for each spayed or neutered dog or cat: $0.00 4. For any seeing eye, hearing ear, special assistance dog or a dog trained and registered in the K-9 Corps: $0.00 Refunds For Animal Licenses Note: This section DOES NOT apply to 1 year licenses. Once a 1 year license is issued no refund will be provided. If an animal becomes deceased prior to the 1st day in the 3rd year of the license the owner will be eligible for a refund. To be eligible for a refund the owner must submit an affidavit of the animal’s death in addition to a refund request form within thirty (30) days of the animal’s death. If the animal passes away in the first (1st) year of a valid three (3) year animal license the owner will be refunded on a prorated basis for the second (2nd) and third (3rd) years. If the animal passes away in the second (2nd) year of a valid three (3) year animal license the owner will be refunded on a prorated basis for the third (3rd) year. If the animal dies during the third (3rd) year of the three (3) year license no refund will be issued. The prorated refund amounts are as follows: 1. For each intact [unspayed or unneutered] dog or cat: i. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (1st) valid year of the license: $26.66 ii. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (2nd) valid year of the license: $13.33 iii. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (3rd) valid year of the license: $0.00 2. For each spayed or neutered dog or cat: i. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (1st) valid year of the license: $6.66 ii. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (2nd) valid year of the license: $3.33 iii. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (3rd) valid year of the license: $0.00 3. For an owner who is at least 60 years old (Senior) or is receiving disability benefits (disabled) as a result of a finding of permanent and total disability under the Social Security Act or the Railroad Retirement Act or by the United States Civil Service Commission or the Veterans Administration:
i. For each dog or cat NOT spayed or neutered: a. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (1st) valid year of the license: $13.33 b. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (2nd) valid year of the license: $6.66 c. Refund amount if the pet dies during the first (3rd) valid year of the license: $0.00
ii. For each spayed or neutered dog or cat:
a. There will be no refund as no fee is charged for the animal license. |
