Workshop #1 - The Truth and Nothing but the Truth: Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common dementia—affecting 50% of people over age 85. In this workshop, participants will learn about the cause, effect, and current research for prevention and treatment of this disease and other related dementias..

Workshop #2 - Who’s on First? Communicating with a dementia-affected loved one.
Dementia-affected people live in an altered state of existence. They have difficulty expressing and receiving information, making communicating a frustrating experience for everyone. Participants in this workshop will learn practical tips about how to effectively communicate and establish solid ground-work for managing unpleasant behaviors.

Workshop #3 - Mission NOT Impossible: Managing behaviors in a dementia-affected loved one
The altered state of existence someone with dementia experiences causes frustration, anger, and fear. This workshop will teach participants how to successfully prevent and manage disturbing behaviors while keeping blood pressure under control!
