Partnership/Sponsorship Opportunities 
The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities (DoAD) offers exciting partnership and sponsorship opportunities that are available to the business and private sector during the year and for the upcoming year. 
Sponsorship opportunities with the Department of Aging and Disabilities enable you to target and market your services or products to older adults, baby boomers, families, informal and professional caregivers, geriatric care managers, and others. Maximize your marketing dollars through sponsorship opportunities with the Department.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is grateful for our sponsors; however the Department does not endorse any particular vendor or business. Anne Arundel County has the right to approve or reject potential sponsors.
 
Family Caregiver Workshops – On-going Support Opportunities
2014-2015 Caregiver Workshops
 
The 2014-2015 Caregiver Workshop Series will be held at the Arnold and Pascal Senior Activity Centers. Businesses can sponsor one or more sessions.
Sponsors’ names will be included in advertisement, including postcards, fliers and brochures, which will be distributed at senior centers, libraries, businesses, and other locations reaching more than 5000 targeted people in and around Anne Arundel County. Sponsors will also be named in press releases, newspaper advertisements, print and web community calendars and any feature articles. Sponsors can display their information at the sponsored workshops or provide material for attendees.
Multiple companies/organizations can co-sponsor the Arnold Senior Center Workshops at the cost of $800 or the Pascal Senior Center Workshops at the cost of $1,000. Companies/ organizations can co-sponsor both the Arnold and Pascal Senior Center Workshops at the cost of $1500. Individual workshops can be sponsored at the cost of $200/each.
Sponsors can set up a table at each of their sponsored workshop or may provide the Department with informational material to be made available at the sponsored event.
Other special topic workshop sponsorship fees will be announced as sessions are scheduled.

The Virtual Dementia Tour® (VDT) - TBA
There are approximately 35 million Americans age 65 and older and more than 5.4 million suffer from Alzheimer's Disease. Dementia is the overriding diagnosis for cognitive impairments - the largest category under Dementia is Alzheimer’s Disease. The Virtual Dementia Tour® is a scientifically proven method designed to build sensitivity and awareness in individuals caring for those with Dementia.
The Virtual Dementia Tour® is a Dementia simulation tool kit created for anyone seeking to understand the physical and mental challenges of those with Dementia. The Virtual Dementia Tour will be offered to family caregivers throughout the county during both day and evening hours. Businesses can sponsor one or more sessions.
The Sponsor's name will be included in advertisement, including fliers and brochures, which will be distributed at senior centers, libraries, businesses, and other locations reaching more than 5000 targeted people in and around Anne Arundel County. The sponsor will also be mentioned in press releases, newspaper advertisements, print and web community calendars and any feature articles. Sponsors can provide material which will be given to attendees. Only one sponsor will be selected each session.
The cost of an individual VDT session sponsorship is $300.
 
Annual Caregivers' Conference – 23rd Annual – TBA
The 2014 event attracted more than 175 family and professional caregivers from Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas. To accommodate the growing number of attendees, the conference has been moved to area hotel accommodations to allow new opportunities and more space for sponsors.

3. Silver Sponsor - $1,000

• Full-page ad in Caregiver Conference Program

•  Sponsorship sign or banner (that you provide) displayed at breakfast/lunch
•  Exclusive advertising in one quarterly issue of The Caregivers’ Voice distributed to more than 2,500 caregivers.
6. Ads
For businesses unable to attend the Caregivers’ Conference, we are also offering an opportunity for your organization to place an ad in the event’s program; a 4”x5” space is available for $125.

13th Annual Caregivers’ Recognition (TBA)
The Annual Caregivers’ recognition event is free for family and other informal caregivers. These caregivers are the unsung heroes who care for Anne Arundel County’s frail, disabled, and elderly citizens. Planning for the 2014 recognition event is underway and sponsorship opportunities will be announced in early Fall.

Making the Link
Making the Link is a project that initially addressed a critical gap in the provision of health care - namely that physicians are often unaware of how to access community resources for the benefit of their frail and elderly patients, adults with a disability, and their caregivers. As more community members become aware of this initiative, interest in linking with the Department of Aging and Disabilities has increased and diversified. Making the Link has grown to include hospital emergency department personnel, hospital care coordinators, nursing home social workers, county Police and Fire Departments, EMT’s and religious organizations.
The Department of Aging and Disabilities, a Maryland Access Point Program, is looking for partners in Anne Arundel County to provide financial support for the printing of informational material, purchase of promotional items, and paid advertisements.
Getting the word out to the County’s numerous medical practices, hospital Discharge Planners and Emergency Room personnel, nursing home social workers, and various businesses – among many other community services - is a daunting task! Partnering with well-known businesses to help subsidize the cost of this venture will allow us to move forward more quickly.

Exclusive advertising for $1,000 per issue. Prints four issues per year. Distributed to over 2,500 individuals.
