Annapolis, MD (April 23, 2014)—The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities, a Maryland Access Point (MAP) agency, is pleased to release a new Public Service Announcement to highlight the services and resources available to Anne Arundel County residents.
This PSA, which showcases the Department’s “Making the Link” philosophy, is being launched at Anne Arundel Medical Center Primary Care offices, as well as Anne Arundel TV (Verizon channel 38, and Comcast channel 98). The video is also available for viewing on our website at www.aacounty.org/aging. The PSA is closed captioned and reinforces the importance of connecting Anne Arundel County residents with Department of Aging and Disabilities services. The PSA is being used by the Fire and Police Departments, in addition to the medical community.
“This is a great example of how important it is to have strong partnerships with our business community, like Anne Arundel Medical Center, and how it can benefit and serve members of our community," said County Executive Laura Neuman. I would like to thank Anne Arundel Medical Center and the Department of Aging and Disabilities for collaborating on this project in an effort to assist individuals with getting connected with essential services.”
“The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is very excited about this partnership with the Anne Arundel Medical Center,” said Pam Jordan, Director, Department of Aging and Disabilities. “Making the Link” is an important initiative to help us share vital services and information with older adults, adults with disabilities and caregivers.”
The Department is continuing to roll this PSA out to other outlets. If your business is interested in partnering with the Department to show this video or to share program information through “Making the Link,” please contact Jennifer Sloan at 410-222-4464, ext. 3111
