Chromebook Giveway

CECS Chromebook Giveway Events to Eligible Families

With our students participating in virtual learning and many families working remotely, closing the digital divide has become increasingly important.” - County Executive Steuart Pittman

Through a grant awarded to Anne Arundel County by Maryland’s Connected Devices Program under the State Department of Housing and Community Development, the Office of Community Engagement & Constituent Services is partnering with the Anne Arundel County Public Library to host four Chromebook distribution events to connect under-resourced households with a free device as part of the state’s digital equity and inclusion efforts.

Please see the How to Qualify section below to determine if you are eligible to receive a Chromebook. If you qualify, please register for an available timeslot at one of the upcoming events. To receive your Chromebook, you must bring all required documentation. Appointments are expected to last approximately 15 minutes.

Distribution Events

Those eligible should register for one of the timeslots at least 24 hours before an event. Registration will open up two (2) weeks prior to the event. A limited number of walk-up appointments are available. All qualifying documentation needs to be provided at pickup. Each appointment is roughly 15 minutes, but each event's wait times vary.
